We're here to support your research with our neuroengineering expertise.

In our dedicated workshop, the Neuroengineering unit design, create and build optical, electrical and mechanical instruments in collaboration with the research labs and expertise centers in support of experimental neuroscience research.

Our mission is to:

  • Provide innovative engineering solutions.
  • Develop customized solutions that meet specific requirements.
  • Integrate multiple disciplines, including optics, electronics, and automation.
  • Assist to setup and configure new devices.
  • Enable researchers to achieve their scientific goals.
Our new engineering unit dedicated to advancing neuroscience research. Our team is committed to developing cutting-edge tools and technologies that support researchers in their efforts to better understand the brain and nervous system. We work closely with neuroscientists and other researchers to identify key challenges and develop customized solutions that address their specific needs. Our engineering unit offers a wide range of services, from design and prototyping to testing, validation, and manufacturing. Our focus on precision, reliability, and usability ensures that our solutions are accessible to researchers of all levels of experience. Ultimately, our goal is to help accelerate the pace of discovery in neuroscience and contribute to a better understanding of the brain and its role in health and disease.

NeuroElectronics Research Flanders (NERF)

We collaborate with researchers at NeuroElectronics Research Flanders (NERF), a Leuven-based interdisciplinary research center studying neuronal circuits and develop new technologies to link circuit activity to brain function. NERF is a young not-for-profit academic research initiative which aims to inspire scientists to simulate brain networks, but also to lay a scientific framework to develop novel medical applications for the diagnosis and treatment of neurological disorders.
