VIB at a Glance
Founded in 1996, VIB is an interuniversity institute for biotechnology with a mission to achieve excellence in life science research and entrepreneurial tech transfer.
VIB has 9 research centers based in 5 universities across Belgium. These are composed of 10 core facilities and 90 research groups, including 1800 researchers and staff representing 75 nationalities.
Staff and students at the Center for Brain & Disease Research can benefit from VIB Training.

Within KU Leuven, our Center is embedded in the Biomedical Sciences group. Each of our labs and researchers belong to a department: Neuroscience, Human Genetics, or Cellular & Molecular Medicine.
